Our story

Two tables. One kitchen.

Chaya means shade — the place you gather when you want to slow down. That's what we set out to build on Bury Rd: somewhere you could order a classic Full English on one visit, and a chicken handi thali on the next, without ever feeling like you'd walked into the wrong cafe.

Why two menus

Food from both sides of home

Our kitchen runs on two traditions at once — the brunch-table classics people grew up with here, and the home-style Bangladeshi cooking we grew up with at our own tables: biryani, tarka dhal, paratha, pani puri. Rather than pick one, we built a menu wide enough for both, and we cook everything fresh to order either way.

It's the same instinct behind our tagline — start your day the Chaya way means starting it however suits you.

What matters to us

How we cook

Made to order

Nothing sits under a heat lamp. Your breakfast, your biryani, your matcha — started when you order it, not before.

Two cuisines, one standard

A Full English gets the same care as a curry thali. We don't treat either menu as the side dish.

A place to linger

Come for a quick espresso or stay for the full spread — the table's yours either way.
